1 quart warm water
2 ounces old fashioned rolled oats, not instant
Zest from 1 lime (optional, but nice)
2 drops Lime Essential Oil
1 drop Cardamom Essential Oil
Dissolve the sugar in the water in a large container. Steep the oatmeal and lime peel the sugar water for 1 hour. If the sugar is not grated, make sure it is completely dissolved before continuing. Strain. Add Lime and Cardmom Essential Oils. Serve over ice.
Note: Piloncillo sugar can be found in many Mexican restaurants. If you can't find it, you can use about 1/4-1/3 cup brown sugar.
