Earthy Spice Scent

11/30/2016

One of the best holiday gifts is perfume and/or cologne, but the challenge is that most of the items available for sale are ridden with chemicals. But there are alternatives that are safe, effective, and create mesmerizing odors when you make these products for yourself.
Over the next few days I am going to post a few of my favorites….
Let’s start with a cologne for all of the men out there who want to remain toxic-free AND smell great!
Here is a recipe for an Earthy Spice scent that is out of this world! (10 ml roll-on).
-10 drops Clove essential oil
-20 drops White Fir essential oil
-40 drops Bergamot essential oil
-5 drops Lemon essential oil
-Fill the remainder of the 10ml bottle with fractionated coconut oil
*if your man has sensitive skin, be sure to cut the drops of oil in half and use more fractionated coconut oil. *Be careful in the sun as well as citrus oils can cause photosensitivity.

Okay you are in for a treat today because this is a holiday gift idea that you are going to want to also give to yourself!
DIY Mint Chocolate Whipped Body Butter
People rave about this recipe because it feels amazing on your body, it smells out of this world, and it is extremely safe and effective.
It is also EASY!
Only three ingredients..
-1/2 cup cocoa butter
-1/2 cup coconut oil
-20 – 40 drops peppermint essential oil
You can either use a stand mixer (much easier) or a hand mixer. Start by adding the coconut oil and cocoa butter to your mixing bowl. Then add your peppermint essential oils (anywhere from 20-40 drops based on your preference). Mix for 1-2 minutes, clean the sides of the bowl, and then continue for 1-2 minutes for a total of 8 minutes.
Viola - your DIY Mint Chocolate Whipped Body Butter is done and ready to be given as a gift to your friends and family and of course, YOURSELF!!!

This recipe is easy to make and it is absolutely fantastic for your skin (and it smells GREAT!).
Here are the ingredients...

Mix all of the ingredients (besides the essential oils) until you get the consistency you are looking for and then add in Peppermint and Wild Orange.
