Are you tired of ingesting drugs, feeling tired, or just plain feeling miserable? Well I've got great news that I just tested this weekend. I have respiratory issues when I am around animals. I can be around them, but just can't pet them or hang with them for to long. This weekend, my daughter and son in-law needed someone to watch their dog. I typically can be around her for a few hours, but this was for the weekend. I was very anxious to try The Bomb. It is simply 3 essential oils. Lemon, Peppermint, and Lavender. You can place 2 drops of each in a gel cap, or you can simply mix with a little water and swish in your mouth for 10-20 seconds. I love drinking the lemon and peppermint in hot water, so that was a piece of cake for me. The lavender I just placed on my throat. I was amazed how I got through the weekend with these 3 little oils. You can take them as often as needed and NO DRUGS enter your body. I am so happy I couldn't wait to tell you all about it. These 3 little oils have over 101 uses. This is a must have for any new essential oil user. Check out 100 Uses for doTERRA Essential Oils. And click on the Products tab above and search for Intro Kit (Single) (32180001). I guarantee you will not be sorry. Happy Fall! I found this list today and couldn't wait to share. Over the winter season I've found a couple people with Raynaud's. They have all been helped with Cypress Essential Oil. Great stuff!~ The purifying and germ-destroying properties of Cypress Oil make it a good choice for treating cuts, scrapes, scratches, ... it is also a common ingredient in antiseptic lotions and creams. This quality is specifically due to the presence of Camphene in the essential oil. Cypress Oil is helpful in curing nearly all types of spasms and the associated problems. It efficiently relieves spasms in the respiratory system and intestines as well as muscular spasms in the limbs. It also helps to cure convulsions, muscle pulls, cramps and spasmodic cholera which can be irritating or dangerous. Cypress essential oil can help to strengthen your gums and tighten your muscles throughout the body. The main function associated with astringency is contraction, so Cypress Oil makes your gums, skin, muscles and hair follicles contract and prevents teeth and hair from falling out, while tightening up loose skin and muscles. Here are some Common uses of Cypress: Antibacterial Natural Cleanser Purifying Germ-Destroying Decongestant (Lymphatic and Prostate) Deodorant Diuretic Helps protect against unwanted pathogens or bacteria Mucolytic Refreshing Relaxing Vasoconstricting How can I use it with Essential Oils? Source sustainablebabysteps I was reading this article this morning and wanted to pass it along to you. David Crow, L.Ac. has great knowledge about Medicinal Plants, especially if you are interested in them spiritually. He made some great points about why quality is so important. Couldn't wait to share them with you. Important Points to Know Before You Purchase Essential Oils written by David Crow, L.Ac. There are many essential oils on the market and it can be overwhelming to sort out the differences between various companies and suppliers. It is important to understand the following terms before purchasing essential oils so that you are sure you are getting therapeutic quality essential oils from a supplier that you trust. 1) “Pure” In the US, the term “pure” has no legal meaning and is often applied to just about anything. Do not rely on the term pure when shopping for essential oils. It is best to do through research on any essential oil company before purchasing their essential oils. In the case of Floracopeia Blends you will see that we use the term “pure essential oil blend” to indicate that the blend is comprised of essential oils only with no fillers or carrier oils. 2) Synthetic Fragrances Certain oils do not exist in a natural state, and are only available as synthetic fragrances or “bouqueted” fragrances (combination of essential oils, absolutes, and synthetics). These include honeysuckle, linden, gardenia, frangipani. Typically you can smell the difference between a synthetic fragrance of rose and the actual essential oil or absolute. If a line of “essential oils” is all priced the same it is good to suspect that these oils are in fact synthetic. Reason being that true essential oils range in cost based on the cost of production (labor, plant mater required, etc). 3) Adulteration/Substitution The more expensive an oil, the more risk of adulteration. Some oils are highly adulterated, such as melissa (lemon balm), rose, and sandalwood. Some oils such as birch are substituted with wintergreen, a less expensive, similar essential oil. 4) Chain of Supply The fragrance industry has many levels of buyers and suppliers. The more levels that are involved, the more there is risk of adulteration. Large volumes of oils are sold as “genuine” and “pure,” which are not. False advertising is rampant in the aromatherapy world. It is best to get oils from a supplier that works directly with the distiller. A long term relationship with a trustworthy distiller is key in the aromatherapy industry to assure that high quality essential oils are produced and accurately sold. Aromatic Intelligence: The Healing Power of Essential Oils 8 5) Grades Lower grades of oils are frequently sold as higher. A good example is ylang ylang. Floracopeia sells both the Superior Ylang Ylang which is the first stage of distillation, as well as the Ylang Ylang Complete which is a combination of all four stages of distillation. In this case the different grades are clearly labeled for customers to select their preference, whereas other companies may sell Ylang Ylang Complete labeled as Superior to increase their profit. 6) Extenders Many oils are “extended” using synthetic or natural solvents. Expensive oils are frequently extended with jojoba. Some oils are extended to make them more pourable. In some case, like botanical perfumes from Floracopeia, this is clearly notated. Other times a company uses this method to offer a less concentrated product that reduces their cost of production. Found this great line about Instant Gratification at my chiropractors office. Instant Gratification: Using anything artificial for short term results can be disastrous. Solving a short term problem with drugs, alcohol, modern medicine, or any "feel good" act usually ends in disastrous, and many times long term, results. Although Essential Oils can give you some instant gratification, they are not artificial. They are truly pure and get to the root of the problem. They don't just cover them up. Deep Blue Soothing Blend is a great example. It doesn't just cover the discomfort, ache, or soreness, it actually gets into our system and relieves puffiness. Lavender is another wonderful oil. The aroma is very appealing and calming to many, and the therapeutic benefits range anywhere from seasonal & environmental threats, cuts and burns, to anxious feelings. Get some "healthy" Instant Gratification and become addicted to Essential Oils like I did! I learned this little fact the other day and wanted to share it with you. Essential Oils are great on people, but they also work wonders on our pets. I'll be posting more soon about other animals, but check this out about horses. To see if a horse will be receptive to a specific oil, hold the bottle up to their nose. Notice what nostril the horse goes to and his reaction to the oil. Horses that like the oil may flare their nostrils, go for the bottle, or try to even nuzzle it right in your hand! They may also smell with one particular nostril, then go to the other nostril. Watch to see which they do first. If they smell with their left nostril, they may need some Emotional support. If they smell with their right nostril, they probably need some Physical support. Keep in mind, if your horse smells an oil from the left nostril first for a certain physical condition, then it shows that there is an emotional component that led to the physical issue. The emotional component should be addressed first. |
