![]() Wool Yarn Old Pantyhose Sock Essential Oils Roll yarn into approximately 2.5” – 3” ball. Place in toe of pantyhose and tie a knot. Repeat until you have 4 balls in a row. Wash in very hot water. Dry in hot dryer. (The wool will felt and bind together.) Remove pantyhose. Add a few drops of essential oil directly to yarn. ![]() Forget Sleepytime Tea. This is the bomb! 1/4 cups of Cocoa Butter (or Shea Butter) 1/4 cups of coconut oil 20 drops Lavender (and/or Ylang Ylang) 12 drops Grounding blend 10 drops Frankincense Other oils to use: you can substitute any of the above oils with Ylang Ylang, Roman Chamomile, Vetiver, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, or Calming Blend. Add the coconut oil and the cocoa butter to a small pan and simmer till melted. Let it rest on the counter for 10 minutes. Add the essential oils to the pan and then put it in the fridge for an hour. You want it to be firm but not too hard. Then whip it on high with an electric mixer until the mixture softens and forms peaks. Another option is to pour it directly into the jar. It won't be "whipped" but still very effective. HOW TO APPLY: Take a small pea-sized amount and massage it into your feet or your children’s feet before bed. ![]() Simple, natural and frugal. It cleans without chemicals or antibacterial agents. Use distilled or boiled water. You can use tap water if it will be used up within a few weeks. For the Castille Soap, I used Dr. Woods Pure Black Soap with Organic Shea Butter. Hand Soap Add 1 oz. Castille Unscented Soap to 1 cup distilled water. Add 5-6 drops of your favorite essential oil or blend. Shake gently. Hammer some holes in the top of the jar. For an extra burst of freshening, swirl jar gently. ![]() 1 cup organic solid coconut oil 1 cup organic olive oil 4 tablespoons beeswax pastilles 1/2 teaspoon vitamin e oil (optional) 12 drops each of the following: Lavender essential oil Lemon essential oil Melaleuca essential oil Four - 4 oz glass mason jars For convenience and easy pouring, use a glass Pyrex measuring bowl with a spout and handle for melting coconut and olive oils, set it inside a deep saucepan with 3 inches hot water. On low heat, slowly heat the coconut oil, olive oil and beeswax. Melt slowly, be careful not to let any water splash into the oils, this could cause mold issues. Stir occasionally to keep the beeswax melting in. When the coconut oil, olive oil and beeswax have melted completely, add vitamin e oil (if using) and stir gently. Stir in essential oils. Fill 1/4 inch from the top of each jar, cover with a paper towel and let sit at least 6 hours until solid. Seal snugly with lid. Shelf life of All Purpose Healing Salve is approximately 4 to 6 months without vitamin e oil added (preservative). With vitamin e, approximately 6 to 8 months. Remember, coconut oil will melt at 76 degrees, store in a dark, cool place for best results. ![]() Beeswax, being nature’s wax, emits wonderful air-cleaning, depression-reducing ions that combat things like dust, odors, mold and even viruses while elevating the mood! For a great allergy candle, use Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint. 3 ounces of beeswax – you can use the yellow or white versions 2 tablespoons coconut oil 4 ounce mason jar, empty candle jar, seashells, ... Cotton wick Essential oils (Lavendar, Womans Blend, Bergamot, Wild Orange, Repellant Blend for mosquito repellant, …) Optional – food colorings to tint the candles to your liking 1. Place beeswax in glass bowl or larger mason jar, and set inside a pot of boiling water until melted. (You can use the microwave if you wish.) Stir often. 2. Remove from heat and add essential oils and/or coloring. (About 15 drops total - Adjust to your liking.) 3. Quickly poor into jars and insert wick. You can tape wick on a pencil to keep it straight. 4. When candles have dried, trim the wick and enjoy! Beeswax Melts Just melt the beeswax and add your favorite oil. Pour into molds (ice cube tray, egg or soap molds, …) You can pop it into the freezer if you want it to solidify quickly. ![]() 10 drops of essential oil(s) (Peppermint is great.) 2 cups water (distilled, filtered, or boiled water) 16 ounce dark glass bottle Put 10 drops of the essential oil(s) of your choice into the glass bottle. Pour in 2 cups of distilled, filtered, or boiled (let cool) water into glass bottle. When using, shake first and take a small sip of your homemade mouthwash. Swish around your mouth and gargle for 30 seconds. Do not swallow. |
